In case you can't guess it's most of next year's curriculum!!
I know it almost looks like an ad for Alpha Omega Publications - and would even more so if I had thought about putting the boxes of Switched-On-Schoolhouse software out that came the week before. Oh well, it seems in a lot of ways I have returned to my homeschooling roots by using Horizons products for Princess and Dash and have every intention of continuing. I am much smarter now than I was with Ballerina, and I have realized that curriculum is a tool, not a taskmaster. I am still prone to bouts of guilt and worry, but they don't last as long, and I am quick to overcome them, realizing that my kids are smart, and sweet, and they are enthusiastically growing, what more do they need? If we have to skip some pages, or ((gasp)) even some whole units, that's life - and it is no different than public school! I really do remember this most of the time, but maybe I am posting it so that I can refer back to it when I doubt it again, and again, and (sigh) again.
On another note, the other fun thing that came in the mail a couple of weeks ago is caterpillars!
I had an abundance again this year, and they seem to be escape artists as well - I am hoping to let the last of them out tomorrow!
I will post pictures if we get to!
