Many of you know that I am a homeschooling mom and unfortunately I am getting sick...a cold is the worst for me because I am a big baby when I am sick!
I am not one of those super interesting homeschooling moms that plan fun and creative units around all the coming holidays. I wish I was, but frankly I am not. When I try to plan my own units instead of using purchased curriculum, I always plan too much, or go overboard on activities and we get entirely sick of the subject before it is over. It always happens! I am an all or nothing kind of person and so it is hard for me to plan a moderate unit! So I have stuck to purchased curriculum for a few years now. All that being said, I do desire to be a fun and interesting mom who does fun and interesting things, who breaks up the monotony with seasonal units that have lots of crafts.
So I decided to do this study while I am sick, and it goes perfectly with St.Patrick's Day coming up at the end of the week! And it is fun, but also has the activities planned, so I won't likely go overboard!
