Depressing day.

Last time I posted, it had been a good day, but went steadily downhill after that.  (sigh) Why does it always seem to work that way?  Depressing.
My space button keeps sticking...do you realize how many times you push the space button in the course of one sentence? Seriously it keeps sticking. This timeI won'tuse thebackspacekey each timeitsticksso you can getthe ideaofhow serious this is...it keeps sticking.  Depressing.
There is much too much laundry to do today - piles actually.  Okay, not really, only probably 2 loads, but there are a few to fold and a lot to sort off the top of the washer.  Depressing.
We didn't get any fun mail. I miss Christmas cards - how about just random cards.  I didn't even get any bills, just junk mail.  Depressing
Oh, and the worst?  I started my day (after yet another night of almost no sleep) with a dentist appointment! Seriously depressing.

Okay, so what's up with all that, heh??

Supposedly today, January 17, is the most depressing day of the year. Some say it is a mathematical fact, others just a marketing hoax, but apparently today is the most depressing day - it is the 3rd Monday in January. Which takes it far from Christmas, long enough for you to have failed on your New Year's Resolution, and it is time to be done with the cold weather!  I don't know if I believe it or not, but the funny thing is that as soon as I heard it, I decided and purposed to make it the LEAST depressing day of the year. But I thought I would just see what I could find in the depressing category first - after all, I am simply trying to post more regularly!

In fact today has been pretty good, although it has seemed humdrum. All the girls worked on Math - and I don't know if you noticed (go ahead and scroll back up again) they are all wearing their pajamas.  We drove by a local school the other day and saw that they are having Lazy Lundi in January - so pajama day each Monday in January.  We are SO on board with that. We almost never, actually we NEVER have pajama days.  I can't function as well if I don't get dressed each morning, so the kids always have to as well. But today we are in for p.j. day!  They are all jazzed about it for sure!

And I have survived that by having to be out early this morning, which although I stayed in my yoga pants (my version of p.j. pants that can be worn outside), that helped me 'wake up' enough to be still productive.

Enjoy your January 17, don't succumb to the pressure - don't be depressed! (Even ifyour spacebutton is sticking...grrrr)

  1. Was that our school? The boys have had 2 p.j. days so far but still got dressed! I didn't have a depressing day today so I guess they're wrong! ;)

  3. Cute Pics!! I never even heard of that day till my sister told me about it. Weird. I think the whole city was doing PJ monday in January, cause I saw a few signs too. I said we should do that too, but totally forgot till you mentioned it here.
